Your Coaching Questions, Answered

  • Relationship coaching is a structured, forward-focused process that helps individuals and couples understand their patterns, strengthen communication, and build healthier ways of relating.

For individuals, coaching focuses on how you show up in relationships — including boundaries, attachment dynamics, emotional safety, dating patterns, and self-trust. The goal is to increase awareness and translate insight into practical, real-world change so your relationships feel more aligned with your values.

For couples, coaching provides a collaborative space to slow down communication, understand each partner’s experience, and develop tools for navigating conflict and connection more intentionally. The focus is not on blame, but on strengthening the relationship through clarity, mutual understanding, and shared growth.

Relationship coaching is educational and skill-based. It supports growth, reflection, and action, but it is not psychotherapy and does not involve diagnosing or treating mental health conditions.

  • No. Relationship coaching is coaching-informed and educational in nature. It focuses on understanding patterns, strengthening communication and boundaries, and supporting intentional change moving forward. Coaching does not involve diagnosing or treating mental health conditions and is not a substitute for psychotherapy.

  • Coaching may be a good fit if you’re looking to understand your relationship patterns, build emotional safety, and make practical, values-aligned changes. It’s especially helpful if you want guidance and structure without engaging in mental health treatment.

If you’re currently experiencing significant emotional distress or feel you may need clinical support, therapy may be more appropriate.

  • Intake sessions are longer and more involved than ongoing sessions. They require additional preparation, assessment, and integration to ensure the work is thoughtful, balanced, and aligned from the start.
